Everyone is welcome to join this Saturday Aug 23rd Knox County CISMA at Sugarloaf Mound for a hands-on opportunity to tackle invasive species in your community! This volunteer event is part of a local initiative to control invasive plants in Knox County’s natural areas . We’ll be removing Asian Bush Honeysuckle. Volunteers will assist staff in removing these species either by hand-pulling or with provided hand tools. A brief presentation on plant identification and safety will be given. We will start at 8:30 a.m. and will wrap-up around 11:30 a.m. What to bring: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, hat, and long pants.
