The Hoosier Riverwatch Training was a huge success with 15 participants. It was a full house at Ouabache Trails Park Nature Center. In the morning, attendees were able to learn about stream sampling and practice nutrient testing. Then after lunch everyone went down to Ouabache Trails Creek where it passes through the Grotto. Here we were able to practice our in stream sampling skills, such as habitat analysis, water transparency, stream flow, nutrient testing, and macroinvertebrate sampling.
The cost-share program is taking shape and will roll out in the fall of 2026.
