Everyone is welcome to join Knox County CISMA at Ouabache Trails on Saturday Oct. 25th (9:00am-12:00pm) for a hands-on opportunity to tackle invasive species in your community! This volunteer event is part of a nationwide initiative to control invasive plants in public parks and natural areas. We’ll be removing wintercreeper. Volunteers will assist staff in removing these species either by hand-pulling or with provided hand tools. A brief presentation on plant identification and safety will be given. What to bring: water bottle, closed-toe shoes, hat, and long pants. For more details and/or to confirm your interest, please visit the Knox County CISMA Facebook.
