Knox County Watersheds: July 2023 Update

Water quality monitoring within the watershed is continuing on a monthly basis and will be wrapping up soon in October. A map of the watershed can be viewed at: https://tinyurl.com/5n88upmx . Data can be viewed at: https://tinyurl.com/y38j9kjv . The watershed management plan is also progressing along well, and the steering committee will be meeting again soon.

A Hoosier Riverwatch Training Event will be held at Ouabache Trails next week on Tuesday. This is a stream monitoring program where volunteers will discover hands-on methods for testing water quality. Participants (18yrs+) will be introduced to habitat, chemical, and biological assessment techniques and can earn certification. It’s great for teachers, natural resource professionals, and anyone interested in being a steward for our waterways! Registration is free and the link below can be used to sign up:
