We will be hosting a Hoosier Riverwatch Workshop at Ouabache Trails Park this Wednesday, June 29th from 9:30-3:30. This free event will teach you about water quality testing, aquatic macroinvertebrates (which are bugs that live in the water), and habitat assessment. We will start out the morning in the nature center and then after the provided lunch we will go out to the creek to practice what we have learned. You can then use your skills to test your local stream and record your findings at Hoosier Riverwatch. At this site, you can view your data and the data from others around the state.
To register for this event go to this website: Hoosier Riverwatch Training or contact the SWCD office.
